I love the game in so many ways (it deserves to be more popular imho) but this really kills my excitement. Now that I know it was because of aim assist largely it feels really unfair, undeserved, and unrewarding. Aim assist takes away from the mechanical skill required to really dominate a match.įor example I have like 12 hours in the game (all but like 3 are from the initial launch and I hadn't played it since) and I have been topping scoreboard almost constantly with almost 4 KD. Aim assist is one of the reasons why I dropped Halo on PC and actually thought Splitgate was a better game. I did some troubleshooting and realized that aim assist was pulling my crosshair to targets and tracking them without my hand on the mouse. So I don't know if this is normal for mouse+keyboard, but it's broken to have software do the tracking and flicking for you. I was playing Rocket League earlier and switched to Splitagete and noticed that my aim was snapping against my movements and I thought for a moment my mouse was faulty. But, in a straight gunfight I personally think the aim assist is a bit to powerful.I play with mouse and keyboard but I have a controller hooked up to my PC for games like Dark Souls, RPGs, and Rocket League. Not this is always the case, as there is are plenty of videos where someone portaled away or behind and enemy to get the drop of them. It gets to the point where movement doesn't play much into who wins the gun fight and its almost entirely who fires the first shot. I just personally think that it's a little to powerful. which I do think is interesting and a good concept for a game such as this. which makes it really easy for controller to track. With this the site follows the target even when not ads. Because it's not like traditional aim assist where it pulls the site into the target when you ads. However the aim assist threw me off at first lol. Honestly I prefer mkb, mainly because that is what ive become use to for fps now. I do equally well with both, so I don't see an issue with it. So, even if pro players are mostly pc, much of which i would argue is because of triple portaling. not everyone on pc can preform like a pro player. the only problem with this argument is that it doesn't support the general populous in the game.
